Presently, more than 25,000 seats have been allotted in over 5000 Industrial Establishments in Gujarat under this scheme. Subject to availability of vacancy, jobseekers can join as apprentice during any of the two admission sessions i.e. starting from 1st February to 15th April and from 1st August to 15th October every year. On completion of apprenticeship training, All India Apprentice Trade Test is conducted and Central Apprenticeship Council (CAC) issues certificates to the successful candidates.

Under this scheme the establishments provide very valuable opportunity to the jobseeker in obtaining the skills. Therefore, it is equally important that the industrial establishment updates the information on vacant seats available under this scheme regularly. Using the passwords provided by the local exchanges, the industrial establishments could now submit this information directly on this web site or seek assistance from the nearest Rojgar Sahay Kendras (RSKs).
In order to keep pace with the rapid changes in the production technologies and modern equipments employed by the industries; it becomes necessary to upgrade the skills of the existing workers on a continuing basis, Advance Vocational Training Scheme has been introduced. This scheme is functioning at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot and Ankleshwar centers of the State and the duration of the training ranges from 2 to 12 weeks.
